Our Courses
Meditrain Limited is an accredited and approved training centre with Qualsafe Awards; Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Since 2004, Meditrain has been a HSE accredited and approved training centre however, after 01 October 2013, the Health and Safety Executive will no longer approve training and qualifications for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. Meditrain will continue to provide accredited and nationally recognised first aid courses through its associated Awarding Bodies regulated by Ofqual.
An award-winning company, Meditrain offers an extensive range of training, refresher and re-qualification courses. Depending on the course subject, length of training may be from three hours to three days or more, with similarly varying certificate credit values.
All of Meditrain’s training is on a closed or open basis. Closed courses and workshops are for candidates from one organisation, while open ones are for individuals from different businesses. Fees for closed courses/workshops start from £125 for short courses, and £385 for full-day courses. Fees for open courses, determined by length and type, start from £25 per candidate.
Courses may include both a practical and written assessment. On successful completion of an accredited training course, a certificate is awarded meeting the standards set by the Quality and Credit Framework (QFC). Dependant upon the type of course undertaken, the validity of a certificate will run from one to three years, and can serve as evidence of continuous professional development (CPD). Certificates are awarded by the following recognised and respected professional bodies:
- Meditrain/Qualsafe Awards (QA)
- Meditrain/Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)
- Meditrain/Chartered Institute for Environmental Health (CIEH)
