Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
To attend this course it is advised that learners have previously attended a Mental Capacity Act awareness course.
Introduced in 2009, as an addition to the Mental Capacity Act, the safeguards are in place to protect people residing in care homes or hospitals, who lack mental capacity.
Designed for learners that care or act on behalf of a person affected by lack of mental capacity, this course explores their role and responsibilities under this legislation.
