Moving & Handling of People
This course looks at the generic factors of Moving & Handling people which can be tailored to suit the candidates own work environment. Providing an awareness of the risks to their spine from improper lifting, candidates will participate in a variety of exercises aimed at safe practice and discuss the merits of moving equipment.
All courses are tailored to suit the client's requirements.

- Anatomy of the spine
- Risk assessment
- Safe handling principles
- Unsafe handling principles
- Practical demonstration and participation of assisting people in: mobility, chairs and beds
- Hoisting included on request
Course Duration
6 hours
A Certificate of attendance will be awarded on completion of the course.
It is recommended this course is updated annually. 3/4 hour refresher courses are available on request.
